This video on Ore Characterisation is the first in the SMC Masterclass series on comminution.
The presentation looks at the more popular laboratory tests that are available to characterise ore from a comminution perspective and is designed to assist in the choice of which are the most appropriate tests for a given application. Factors such as their uses and quantity of sample required are discussed. Data on the precision of each of the tests are presented. Particular attention is paid to the JK drop-weight test and the SMC Test® and how the range of parameters that they provide are extracted from raw data.
